Climate Change Summit 2009

Datum:
15.06.2009

Ort: London

Keeping climate change on the agenda during the current economic crisis sets a challenge to us all. Yet, a real commitment to tackling climate change still makes business sense and those who prepare now will reap the benefits in a post-recession low-carbon economy. The time for talking is over, what practical strategies can be implemented to make a real difference?
This year's climate change summit brings together key strategic thinkers and leading practitioners to explore how business can build and maintain a commitment to tackling climate change through the recession and beyond. Key sessions will ask:
How business can address climate change in practice,
How businesses can adapt to ensure they are well placed to compete in a post-recession low-carbon economy,
How international policy developments will impact UK business,
How current and future legislation will shape the way we do business,
What changes to business practice have both mitigated impact and enhanced performance?

A series of practical workshops will focus on solutions that have been implemented in practice and delivered tangible cost savings, improved efficiencies and made a real difference to business' impact on climate change.
Themes include: The carbon reduction commitment; Communications and reputation; Supply chain; Renewable energy; Green technologies; Water management; Emissions trading; Carbon markets
