i2010, the current EU policy framework for the information society and media being reviewed, promotes the positive contribution that information and communication technologies (ICT) can make to the economy, society and personal quality of life. Invention, Innovation, Impact is the triple thematic (see ICT 2008 event) for shaping the future from the information to the knowledge society. Fast evolutionary trends (environment, energy, economy, labour) now call for a consideration of key issues approaching the i2015 update for a mid-term valuable impact: how sustainability is pervading societal foundations; how to tune the Lisbon 2 agenda progress; eGovernment-eInclusion and interoperability issues in the EU from local perspectives; the regional challenge for optimal benefit from ICT and knowledge technologies into a digitised society; the key EC Programmes (FP7, CIP) strengthening the key iThemes; their progress and identification of projects? opportunities.
Who should attend?
Officials from ministries of information society and eGovernment, labour, education and social affairs in EU Member States and neighbouring countries, managing authorities, development and regional agencies, training institutions, social partners, co-financers, NGOs, practitioners and other stakeholders involved in eGovernment related initiatives.
